The Moroccan Football Federation are knocking on all legal football doors as they seek for justice after being slapped with staggering financial punishment by Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) for engaging in unsporting acts during AFCON-25 Finale.
For a well organized 2025 continental showpiece to be stained with chaotic unsporting activities during the finals involving the host nation Morocco and Senegal had attracted stern punishments meted out to both nations by CAF.
Now, a sum-total of USD-three-hundred-thousand worth of punishment, stemming from the following unlawful acts perpetrated by Moroccan nationals:
* Ball ball incidents – USD$200,000
* Improper misconduct of players against officiators – USD%100,000
* Laser use – USD$15,000
* Ismael Saibari – USD$100,000
Aside the financial fines, Achraf Hakimi and Ismael Saibari would observe two and three match suspensions respectively in competitive international games. In this light, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation have made legal steps for an appeal.
Mynewsanchor.com can confirm that, Morocco have succeeded in resetting the case regarding the sanctions birthed from the 2025 African Cup of Nations final game against Senegal. The appeal has been accepted which obviously breathes in new life into the sanctions- igniting a review into the case.
These legal actions by Morocco will have Senegal return for a new hearing, with additional evidence that could potentially change the outcomes of the initial judgements made by the disciplinary committee of CAF.
