Vincent Kompany has addressed individuals who painted a picture of him not being the perfect man to take over the managerial job at Bayern Munich.
After Bayern Munich launched their 2024/25 UEFA Champions League campaign with a resounding victory against Dinamo Zagreb, Bayern Munich`s manager, Vincent Kompany in his post-match interview with the press recounted his potency in coaching the team into winning trophies.
However, he took seized the opportunity to slam the door at his critiques who had discredited him of being the excellent man to manage the team.
“I will tell you something in a quick way just to prove a point. I was born in Brusssels, my dad was a refugee who came from Congo. What are my chances of playing in the Premier League, winning something as a player, playing the national team? the odds were 0.000something. Now I am a coach,” Vincent Kompany stated.
He further added that, he “believes” in his talents and capabilities of turn things around in order to clinch onto glory.
“Do you just stop believing in yourself and what you can achieve because of what you can other people are saying? The mentality is to keep going and in the end if you fail, you fail, if you succeed, you succeed. But you can always become better,” he said.
Vincent Kompany after being appointed the manager of the German Bundesliga prior to the 2024/25 season, has cemented some form of calmness into the team and among the fans of the club as he keeps on grinding appreciable results with his performance.
In his first UEFA Champions League campaign as a manager of Bayern Munich has been able to dismantle Croatian Premier League club, Dinamo Zagreb as they register nine goals and conceding two at their home grounds, Allianz Arena with goals from Hary Kane, Guerreiro, Olise, Leroy Sane and Leon Goretzka.
