Federico Chiesa drops out of Liverpool’s squad ahead of pre-season’s tour, what are the options available for him to choose from.
Amidst rumors of the Italian international exiting Anfield after exhausting just a season of his stipulated contract, he is set to make a move to another club in search of more playing time.
Even though prior to Chiesa’s move from the Old Ladies of Italian football into Prem side, Liverpool FC, the atmosphere around it had sought to indicate that, he’s is on a route to reigniting his football career.
However, the dream of Federico Chiesa revamping his career has not pan out well as he was failing to break into the starting eleven of the Liverpool team every now and then during the 2024/25 season.
In that vein, statistics have it that, Chiesa made just six appearances in the English Premier League in the just ended campaign without any goal involvement. Clearly his stint at the club has not yielded any fruits.
Meanwhile, it further points to the facts that, his inclusion to the squad both on and of the pitch aided the club in securing their 20th Premier League title in the most astonishing fashion as no pundit did not predict Liverpool to win the Prem this season.

As reports have it that, Federico Chiesa has been left out of the pre-season squad set to embark on a tour at Japan, the Italian winger would want to abide by the wise saying of the Italian men’s senior national team head coach.
“Chiesa must play more. It’s important. our doors are always open but we want Fede to play on regular basis,” Gattuso iterated in an interview on June 19, 2025.
Sources in the camp of Federico Chiesa have disclosed that, the winger would make a return into the Italian Serie-A as he is attracting interest from some clubs in from Italy. It is significant to note, the reigning champions of the Premier League are opened to allowing him exit the club for any suitable transfer fee.
