The much-anticipated unveiling of the 16 contestants for Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) 2024 has set the stage for another vibrant celebration of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage. The grand launch event, held on Sunday, July 28 at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, marked the official introduction of this year’s contestants.

Representing the diverse regions of Ghana, the contestants include Maltiti for the Northern Region, Hama for the Upper East Region, Abena for the Western Region, Afriyie for the Ashanti Region, Makafui for the Volta Region, Titiaka for the Savannah Region, Naa Ameley for the Greater Accra Region, and Nana Yaa for the Oti Region.
The panel of judges for this year’s competition—Dzigbodi Kokudosu, Janet Sunkwa Mills, and Comfort Ocran—shared their high expectations for the contestants.
“The standards keep rising each year. We are anticipating an extraordinary 2024 with impressive performances. My focus is on influence and impact; we expect contestants to deliver exceptional results, making it a tough decision for us,” remarked Dzigbodi Kokudosu.
Janet Sunkwa Mills highlighted the challenging nature of the competition: “This year, our task will be particularly demanding as these contestants are incredibly talented. The winner will truly have to earn their title because the competition will be fierce. GMB is a prestigious brand, and we want the Queen to embody that power and prestige.”
Comfort Ocran expressed her excitement about witnessing the contestants’ individual values and creativity: “They face a fantastic challenge this year. I look forward to seeing how their personal values and creativity shine through in everything they do.”
The event was graced by various dignitaries, including former GMB Queens, chiefs, and traditional rulers from different regions, further emphasizing the cultural significance of the pageant.
