Real Madrid’s star, Kylian Mbappe has admitted of not being the best version of himself on the field since joining Real Madrid.
The French and Real Madrid attacking forward, Kylian Mbappe since inking a permanent contract for his dream club in the summer transfer window from French Ligue-One side, Paris Saint Germain has not been able to showcase his true colors at the Spanish club.
In the Spanish La-Liga and the various competitions Real Madrid had qualified to play in, Kylian Mbappe has failed to be outstanding; making series of fundamental errors in games has been the order of the day for the French man.
Meanwhile, those backward traits being exhibited by Mbappe is one that is not accepted and tolerated at a club as big as the white angels of Spanish football. Real Madrid has been club which has build a reputation on winning even when the odds are against them, therefore, he cannot afford to slack whenever he has the opportunity to compete and firght for the badge.
Over the weekends, Kylian Mbappe had an extensive interview with a Spanish base media outlet, Clique TV, were he reacted to conversations surrounding his performances on the field and what he makes of his own output ever since he joined the club, “It has not been the best start for me or for the team… but we’re still here. We’re still fighting for every title. I always dreamed of playing for Madrid. Always, always, always. Real Madrid welcomed me like a king, even though I’ve done nothing for them. It was unbelievable, really.”
He then added that, he is well informed that, being a member of Real Madrid, during the second half of the season, which is also the crunchy moments of the season, that is when the team picks up the pieces and make a huge claim for the various trophies they are competing for, “at Real Madrid, the most important part is the second part of the season.
The former AS Monaco and Paris Saint Germain forward claimed that, he is of the believe that, Real Madrid is the best club in the world and he is not going to skip any opportunity which will make him a serial winner at such a big club with huge followings.
“I’m in the best club in the world to win the Champions League. I want to win the UCL! PSG?I wish them the best but the Champions League… I want it, I want to win it at Real Madrid. I’m very happy with this new chapter.I want to win and this is the right place. I’m sure I will succeed at Real Madrid.” Mbappe said.
Meanwhile, the French national team skipper also seized the opportunity to respond to fans reactions with respect to his commitments to the national team and why he missed out on the last international games.
“I wanted to play for France in November. That was the coach’s decision not to call me up. I can’t tell you why. I’m sorry. If he wants to say it, he can. But I’m not allowed, Kylian said.
