Manchester United have lay-off their men’s senior team manager, Erik Ten Hag with immediate effect.
Following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag as Manchester United‘s manager, in an official statement released by the club indicated that, Ruud van Nistelrooy is expected to take over the managerial job on an interim base.
In details, the club’s statement which was release in the early hours of Monday, October 28, 2024 communicated that, “Erik ten Hag has left his role as Manchester United men’s first-team manager.”
“We are grateful to Erik ten Hag for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.
“Ruud van Nisterooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited.” The administrators of Manchester United stipulated in their press release.
It is significant to note that, in Erik ten Hag’s first year at Manchester United, he managed to bag one domestic trophy, which is the Carabao Cup and in his second season, he completely out-played Manchester City in the English FA Cup finals at the Wembley Stadium to secure his second title as Manchester United’s manager.
However, the administrators of the club deems him unfit to continue managing the club into glory hence, after one hundred and twenty-eight games in all competition, winning seventy-two, drawing twenty and loosing thirty-six of the games played, Erik ten hag has been shown the exit door from the club.
Following the departure of Erik ten Hag from Manchester United as the manager, the captain of the team, Bruno Fernandes had this to say, “thanks for everything, boss! I appreciate the trust and the moments we share together, I wish you all the best.
“Even knowing the last period has not been great from all of us, I hope you fans can keep with you the good things Erik has done for our club,” Bruno Fernandes said.
Plus, two Manchester United academy graduates, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo expressed their appreciation to Erik ten Hag who believed in their talents and gave them the opportunity to excel in their professional career.
