Michael Owen has burst out his views regarding the formation Manchester United now plays under the watch of their new head coach, Ruben Amorim.
The former Liverpool and England national team player, Michael Owen has reacted after Manchester United succeeded in grabbing their first win in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League group stage qualifying matches.
On November 28, 2024, Michael Owen took to his social media page as he asserted that, Manchester United as a club have been very tasty of wins and in the last few years, the team has strive in churning out good and consistent performances in all competitions.
The Liverpool legend claimed that, the route for which the newly appointed head coach of Manchester United has decided to steer the affairs of the club in terms of how the team is set-up to play on the field is one that truly depicts a team that is being coached in the right way.
“There have been plenty of false dawns at Manchester United in recent years but you sense that Amorim could be the right man. I like his demeanor. He looks confident and spoke more sense in ten minutes than Ten Hag did in two and half years. It won’t happen overnight and there’s a fair bit of catching up to do but.. “It’s been over eleven years in the making but Manchester United are all of a sudden good to watch again!” He said.
Michael Owen further iterated that, Manchester United under the supervision of Ruben Amorim as the head coach and his back room staff, there can only be “improvement required everywhere you look but this is now a team with potential written all over it.”
Ruben Amorim has only been in charge of two games for Manchester United; he drew in his first English premier league game against relegation threaten and newly promoted side, Ipswich and has picked up all three maximum points in Europe while beating Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford in a 3-2 victory.
