“Running Football In Ghana Isn’t Worth It”- Kennedy Boakye Ansah

Ghanaian veteran sports journalist and brands manager for Nations FC has bemoaned the instances leading to his side forfeiting their league game against Basake Holy Stars. 

In an interview with a 3Sports, Mr Kennedy Boakye Ansah indicated that, the poor and lack of professionalism on the part of the decision makers of the game have really impacted the game of football badly and has tainted the beautiful game of football in our country.

Mr Kennedy Ansah in reacting to Nations FC’s decision to avert their league match against Basake Holy Stars yesterday in the final minutes of the first-half after the center-referee had awarded a penalty kick in favor of Holy Stars stated that, “maybe we might disband Nations FC.”

In addition, he angrily voiced out out that, the league is not a profit making venture and hence, should they disassociate themselves from the Ghana Premier League, there will be no loss on the part of the owners of Nations FC.

“… We might forget about running football in this country because it’s not worth it.”

After Nations FC’s decision to forfeit their league game yesterday, the three maximum points plus three goals have been awarded to Basake Holy Stars which is per what the football regulations stipulates.
