Swiss’s Public Prosecutor have stopped investigations against CAF’s General Secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba.
The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) have issued out an official letter informing the public of the new developments with regards to the investigations involving the general secretary of the governing body of Africa’s football, Veron Mosengo-Omba.
Today, January 23, 2025, CAF in their press release had pointed out the decision of the Public Prosecutor’s office of Swiss, taking a stance of unfollowing any investigation against Veron Mosengo-OMba.
“The Swiss Public Prosecutor’s Office has decided that it will stop investigations against Africane de Football (CAF) Secretary General, Veron Mosengo-Omba as they found no facts or legal basis to initiate legal proceedings,” the statement indicated.
In CAF’s letter, it further stipulated their commitments to upholding the integrity of the institution by at all times making ways for any form of investigations to be conducted.
“CAF welcomes the decision of the Swiss Public Prosecutor’s Office and is pleased that there continues to be adherence and compliance within CAF and the CAF Secretariat with the culture and commitment to ethics, transparency and governance that was introduced since the Presidency of Dr Patrice Motsepe.”
