2024/25 CAF Champions League quarter finals: 8 teams set to be paired

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) club’s highest football competition in the African continent is approaching the quarter finals stage of the tournament as the group stages have been sorted out.

Out of four groups named Group A to Group D characterized with four set of clubs each, top two of respective groups have automatically secured their qualification tickets into the CAF Champions League quarter finals.

Briefings of last batch of games in the CAF Champions League Group stages

The round-6 last batch of games were underway over the weekend; despite DR Congo’s topflight side, TP Mazembe thrashing Sudanese side by four goals without conceding still failed to book qualification whiles Young Africans also played a goalless game against MC Alger plus, Al Ahly could not hold keep a clean sheet as they were defeated by Orlando Pirates in a 1-2 result.

More so, CR Belouizdad thumped Stade d’Abidjan by a humiliating 6-0 meanwhile, Esperance de Tunis did not hesitate to unleash their fire power as they beat Sagrada by 4-1 and finally, Pyramids closed their group stage qualifying campaign on a high note as they thrashed Djoliba by six goals without conceding.

Qualified teams into the group stage

Eight teams have found their way into the 2024/25 CAF Champions League quarter final stage; Stellenbosh, USM Alger, Simba SC, CS Constantine, Zamalek SC, Al Ahly, Asec Mimosas, and RS Berkane are the respective teams that have booked a spot in the next stage of the tournament.
