Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edmund Simeone Okraku has boastfully expressed his condescending views as the Black Stars of Ghana warm-up ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
On March 20th, 2026, at the Kempinski hotel, Accra-Ghana, during the lunch of the Fundraising Campaign for the Ghana senior soccer team, Mr Kurt Okraku seized the medium to assert words of assurance regarding the impact Ghana’s team was going to make at the world showpiece.
“Today, we are very confident that the intangible assets that we have produced over time, the intangible assets that have been put together by coach Otto Addo and his team, we will make Ghana Proud,” he stated.
While adding that, “we [Ghana Black Stars] will go into this tournament with our chest up, ready to fight for the strip and ready to change our story. We fear no foe and believe me, Ghana football will speak.”
Ghana walks into this year’s Mundial as one of Africa’s most experienced national teams to represent the continent, they are making their fifth appearance since their debut in 2006.
This historic feet would not justify why Ghana should qualify ahead of Panama, Croatia and England in Group L, however, it could be an antidote to weaving their way out. The Black Stars are scheduled to kick off their first game against Panama on June 17, next off, lock horns with England on June 23 then sum up their group face games against Croatia on June 27.
In the spirit of preparations ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the Black Stars are will face two high-profile friendlies: against Austria in Vienna on March 27, followed by a game with Germany in Stuttgart on March 30th.
Meanwhile, the senior national team of Ghana will also play against Mexico and Wales in May and June respectively before they set off for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
