Ghana Football Association (GFA) as the major regulatory body of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) have officially announced the schedules for the 2026/27 Premier League season.
in an official publication made on the Ghana Football Association website have indicated the time-schedules and timelines for which the much anticipated forthcoming season would kick-start and end.
“The new campaign will commence over the weekend of September 4-7, 2026, and run through to May 28-31, 2027, in line with the Football Association’s approved 2026/27 football calendar,” the statement revealed.
Plus, the statement captured the rules centered on the formats in which the league would run through, “as with the current format, league matches will primarily be played on weekends, while midweek slots will be reserved for only outstanding fixtures.”
Meanwhile, the GFA seized the medium to iterated their commitments to supervise a transparent and entertaining league which would prioritize the interest of participating clubs and fans of the domestic league.
“The GFA is committed to the smooth and efficient execution of the calendar. The early release of the season calendar help members of the Ghana football Association and all stakeholders to plan their season ahead,” the statement read.
