Renowned Ghanaian sports journalist Patrick Osei-Agyeman has called for the constitution of a “proper” administrative structure purposely dedicated to managing the club’s day-to-day activities.
In his view, Asante Kotoko’s recent on field poor run of form is majorly stemming from the bad governance structure responsible in supervising the daily activities of a club with Kotoko’s status.
Speaking, “Asante Kotoko needs a properly constituted Board,” whiles emphasizing the need for Asante Kotoko as a club to extinguish the Interim Management Committee (IMC), “the job of the IMC is long-overdue, it’s been over six months – they been in charge of the governance of Asante Kotoko for the last three years, it’s enough. Kotoko urgently needs a Board.”
Patrick Osei-Agyeman in his rants suggested that, a club in the caliber of Asante Kotoko after assembling a board, “should have a clear management team which is worthy and competent with defined responsibility.”
Kumasi Asante Kotoko this season have wiped out of the MTN FA after loosing on 4-2 penalty shootout against Aduana FC and in the Ghana Premier League, they sit on fifth position after 21 games with 35 points looted.
