Black Stars which is the senior football team of Ghana, in a social media post have reminisced on the life lived by the late Christian Atsu whiles extending their heartfelt condolences to his family.
Yesterday, 6 Febuary 2026 was exactly three-years the legendary Ghanaian footballer had passed on through the most tragic earthquake which clutch many lives in Turkey.
On the official X-page of the Ghana Black-Stars, the team iterated that, “in loving memory of Christian Atsu. Three years on, we honur a Black Star who wore the shirt with pride and represented Ghana with humility. His legacy lives on,” They said.
Christian Atsu, known for his skillset as a prolific winger who had a stint with top clubs in Europe such as FC Porto, Chelsea and Newcastle coupled with his unwavering commitment with the Ghana national team whenever the team placed a call for his services.
Further, Astu who was also known for his compassion, affection and generosity for the poor and less privilege individuals in the community would always be remembered by humanity.
