Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central has vehemently described Ghana’s former president, His Excellency Nana Addo’s tenure of office as the ‘worst’ the country folks have ever experienced.
In making his assertions, the renowned Ghanaian musician who is now a politician and law maker, representing the good people of Gomoa Central in Parliament as the only independent legislature claimed that, during President Nana Addo’s term of governance, Ghana as a country retrogressed in terms of its economic and infrastructural development, “President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo can be classified as the worst president we have had in this country.”
The host proceeded with a question which suggested that, Hon Kwame Obeng Asare‘s submission was not necessarily the views of every citizen, “there is someone who is watching me now and saying that, Nana Addo is the best president that Ghana has ever had. I’ll not fight them, that is their opinion.
“In this particular matter, you cannot have an opinion, when we are talking about Nana Addo’s governance – it is like having an opinion that one + one is not equivalent to two. You don’t have opinions in every matter?” Hon kwame Obeng Asare defended his views.
The Gomoa Central Member of Parliament seized the opportunity to enlighten Ghanaians with respect to why he is of the assertions that former President Akuffo Addo is the worst performing head of state Ghana has ever had.
“I like President Nana Addo as a person, I think that he is a nice person but I believe that he was overwhelmed, he lost track along the line – I liked him and supported him because I felt that he was principled unfortunately it got to a point where I saw that he was a typical African politician and so it was difficult for me to support Nana Addo. However, I think that, as a person, he is a nice guy and I like him. When he wears his suit and he is coming, I’m excited,” He said.
