Rahman Osman has burst out his thoughts over the recent conversations which seeks to dim the light of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s hard work and efforts in making Ghana and Africa a better place.
The renowned Ghanaian sports journalist in his submission indicated that, Ghana as a nation has become the premier destination for individuals in the diaspora stemming from the deeds of the founding father of Ghana.
In outlining his opinion, he made references to selfless and transparent decisions made by Osagyefo Nkrumah during his tenure as the Prime minister and President of the Republic of Ghana, “Dr. Kwame Nkrumah would have amassed wealth in his name for his children, like most of your leaders do, if he were half the person you say he was”
“The independence of Ghana is meaningless when it does not connect to the total liberation of the African continent,” these were the exact words of the first president of Ghana after securing freedom for his motherland – these words from the Osagyefo were words which engineered the emancipation of the African continent from colonial rule as he backed it up through his leadership.
Now, Mr. Rahman Osman could not hold his gun than to trigger the thought of comparism, “This man [Dr Kwame Nkrumah] bought everything in the name of Ghana, but hey, let’s compare him to those who wanted to drink tea with the colonizers.”
While engaging some of the individuals who reacted to his submission, he unapologetically added that, “they think we’re fools – They want to re-write history but some of us will not let them,” Rahman Osman said.
