Over the weekend, Bayern Munich‘s league game against Borussia Dortmund saw Harry Kane go down on the pitch simultaneously holding his thigh as he indicated to the medical staff that, he was feeling some amount of sharp pain in his thigh.

After series of test conducted by the medical staff in order to ascertained the actual injury the center-forward had picked up, it turned out that he has a hamstring injury which would keep him on the sidelines for some few weeks.

In today’s pre-match press conference ahead of Bayern Munich’s game against the reigning champions of the DFB Pokal, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Vincent Kompany discussed the injury situation of his danger man, Harry Kane as he would not be available for selection in the forthcoming crucial game in the domestic competition tomorrow, Tuesday, 3rd of November, 2024.

“It is difficult to predict, but there is a possibility that he (Harry Kane) will still play this year. However, he will miss a few games first. You can not replace him one-on-one, he is a top player. But we will solve it differently, we won’t be lacking talents tomorrow,” Vincent Kompany iterated.

Further, Bayern Munich’s manager, Vincent Kompany has seven players available for him to select to formulate his attacking structure. They are, The ageing Thomas Muller, Mathys Tel, Serge Gnabry, Michael Olise, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, and Jamal Musiala who are all not known for being prolific arrow head center forwards. Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich would definitely miss the absence of Harry Kane.

Vincent Kompany addressed how he intends to come out successful in the tough hurdle he is faced with, which is, for him to guide his team to secure the much needed win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen which will propel them into the next stage of the DFB Pokal.

“We have played against almost every team in the league. Leverkusen’s squad is one of the best. Leverkusen defend very deep and did the same against us in the first half of the season. I don’t know if they will approach things in a similar way now. I hope that we will build on our strengths tomorrow and concentrate on ourselves, no matter how Leverkusen plays,” He added.
