Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has had his take on Asante kotoko’s target for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign while speaking on what he envisage to achieve as personal achievement.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s newly recruit Ibrahim Danlad in an interview with 3-Sports, a subsidiary of traditional media outlet TV3, has expressed the Porcupine Warriors season’s target.
While speaking, the former Ghana Under-20 safest pair of hands highlighted the Porcupine Warriors’ recent triumph over rivals Hearts of Oak in the 2026 Democracy Cup, stating that, the club will seek to improve and compete for trophies this season.
“As a team, Kumasi Asante kotoko is a big club and we always want to win. So for me, we have already secured one [Democracy Cup] and two more [Ghana premier League title and MTN FA Cup] to go,” adding that, “we wish to get all for our fans,” Ibrahim Danlad stated.
The employment of Ibrahim Danlad to lead the defensive backline of Asante Kotoko proves to be a real moral booster for the club as he walks into the set up as an experience lad who has vast experience in the Ghana Premier League.
Now, the 23-year-old goalkeeper shed insights on his own personal targets which he he intends to use as a manual guide throughout the 2026/27 Ghana premier League season.
“… Honestly, I am a guy who will always have a target for myself and also for the team as well. And as a goalkeeper, your main task is to keep more clean-sheet just to help the team to progress.
“For me, my personal achievement is to help the team to get alot of clean-sheet eventhough in terms of attack, I will do my personal best to help the team in terms of possessing,” he said.
Kumasi Asante kotoko will kickstart their 2026/27 domestic league campaign with a fixture against newly promoted side Debibi United in an away outing at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
