EPL Round-14: King Power Is The Venue; The Foxes Seek To Claim Victory Against West Ham United

Leicester City are set to host West Ham United today in the English premier league.

For a game which has gathered a lot of interest prior to the match-day is one that no Premier League fan would want to miss due to the many factors which could determine the actual outcome of the game at the end of ninety minute.

Leicester City after parting ways with their head coach, Steve Cooper sometime last week and not hesitating to appoint the former interim manager of Manchester United Ruud Van Nistelrooy clearly indicates the club’s intentions of wanting to protect their Premier League status.

However, the Hammers have not been the usual club this season, who is a force to reckon with in the 2024/25 English premier league under their new manager, Lopetegui who was highly rated by West Ham looking at his successful exploits with the German Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

West Ham heading into this game have only won two of their last five games, drawn one and lost two while Leicester also has been on a winless run in their last five Premier League games; having lost four and drawn one which is completely unacceptable.

Further, Leicester’s new head coach, Ruud Van Nistelrooy did not enjoy the newly appointed coach syndrome as Leicester lost their first game under Ruud and therefore, there is the much needed sense of urgency for the Foxes to get back into winning ways.

Meanwhile, Ruud Van Nistelrooy would not have some very important players in his set up due to injuries. Players like Fatawu Issahaku, Opoku, Pereira, Stolarczyk, and Harry Winks would not been in the squad list for the game and that is certainly not a good news for Ruud and Leicester.

While in the West Ham set-up, the team would be very fortunate to have their Ghana attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus available, who was out due to suspension but the sad news is, Fullkrug and Lucas Paqueta are both going to missed.

Both Leicester City and West Ham United share the sixteenth and fourteenth position with fifteen and ten points respectively. A win for either side can boost their chances of staking a claim when it balls down to their Premier League status.
