Marcus Rashford has started the season well – Ten Hag

Manchester United`s manager, Erik Ten Hag has appreciated the efforts being made by his forward winger, Marcus Rashford in the few games played in the beginning of the 2024/25 new season.

After Marcus Rashford lost his head in affecting games positively in the second half of last season. He was gradually loosing his position in the first eleven squad due to his underwhelming performances.

Plus, at some point in the season heading into the transfer period, majority of the Manchester United fans were of the view that, Marcus was not making any impacts in the game and hence, should be shown the exit door when the transfer season kick start.

However, the decision by the fans did not materialize because the manager, Erik Ten Hag had a different opinion with respect to whether Marcus stays or leaves. Eventually, Marcus Rashford has been kept by the team and has already begin to show glimpses of why the manager, Erik ten Hag kept him in the team.

Erik Ten Hag justified the importance of Marcus taking a critical look at his lifestyle as a professional player and the effect it has on his performance as a football player on the field.

“I think he always knew, and every player knows how important lifestyle is. When your lifestyle is not right you can`t perform. You don`t get the right levels when you don`t have a good and disciplined life away from Carrington,” Ten Hag said at his pre-match press conference.

Erik Ten Hag when asked about his impressions with respect to the current performances of Marcus Rashford, “Marcus Rashford knows when there are setbacks, how to get fightback, how to set his career, and his performance.

“He took control of it and so he is on the way back. He has started the season very good now he has to continue and to progress,” He said.
