Veteran Ghanaian journalist, Omanhene Kwabena Asante has slapped words of caution on duty bearers as he laments on the paths chosen by politicians in administering the country whenever they assume office.
Yesterday, August 14, 2025, while hosting his morning show on Adom TV, Mr Kwabena Asante spat words of knowledge into the heads of government officials whiles cautioning public and security institutions for allowing political leaders to manipulate and utilize their offices in revenging opposition party members.
Speaking on the bad precedence being set by both opposition parties while they were in government and what political parties in government do, he claimed it has been the route cause destructing the growth of the country.
“The moment there is a change in government, immediately EOCO shows up then you ask yourself, where were they? So I urge every citizen to allow the politicians to occupy their space for us to also speak our truth.
“When they are being arrested in a ramble style, allow them that space, they know, that the posture all political divides have chosen once they assume office. Today, because the NDC is in government, EOCO would arrest the NPPs. The country is running into a ditch,” he said.
Mr Omanhene Kwabena Asante now laid a premise quizzing that, “do you think should the NPP come into government after twelve, eight or four years, the NPP government would come and smile at this people [NDC members]? And they will preach forgiveness? Is that what you are thinking?
“We are watching the religious leaders and the unions, we are watching everyone closely plus, we are watching journalists,” kwabena Asante indicated.
