The Member of Parliament elect for Gomoa-Central Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as (A-Plus) has burst claiming that, the current government being led by His Excellency President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has not been up to the task hence, plummeting the various facets of the country’s economy into a ditch.
What’s more, he then iterated that, Ghana as a country is currently experiencing power load-shedding (dumsor) as a result of the government’s failure to implement measures which will further improve Ghana’s energy sector.
“Ghana is currently facing load shedding (dumsor). At the moment, institutions and groups such as the Christian Council, civil society organizations like the Danquah Institute, and vocal Akans are fully aware that the country is experiencing dumsor due to the incompetence of the overhyped Akufo-Addo administration. “
Honorable Kwame Asare Obeng further iterated that, the outgoing government during their tenure were over pampered which in his view has not culminated into Ghana reaching it’s developmental goals. In addition alleged that, various CSO who are aligned to the government are only waiting to pounce on the incoming National Democratic Congress party in order to bash them for a problem which was no fault of theirs.
“…, they [Christian Council and Civil Society Organizations] remain silent, patiently waiting for john Mahama to assume office so they can quickly mobilize to declare that he has brought dumsor back”
He further shared a word of caution and advice to the various groups who have a voice in determining the moral conscience and the right trajectory Ghana should be heading towards.
“To the Christian Council: be like Christ – unbiased and fearless. He looked the Pharisees in the eye and told them the truth. Do not reserve your voices only for when the NDC is in power.”
He urged them to “speak up now and tell the nation the truth: Ghana is currently experiencing dumsor, and the economy is in bad shape. Do not wait for John Mahama to be sworn in before you start speaking out, like Balaam’s donkey in the Bible. You are human beings, not donkeys – act like it!”
