Aftermath of 2024 Polls: “We’ll uphold governance rooted in integrity, probity, and accountability” – Hon. Ato Forson

The Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency and the Leader of Majority Caucus in Ghana’s eight parliament, Honorable Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has shared a words of appreciation to the citizenry after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party’s landslide victory on the December 7th, 2024 general elections.

Further, the law-marker recounted the inefficiencies in the out going governing party’s tenure and he’s of the view that, the decisive outcome of the votes casted by the Ghanaian people only points to the fact that, the mandate given to his party, National Democratic Congress to form the next government will undertake an unprecedented developmental projects in all facets of Ghana’s economy.

“Together, we have achieved the incredible – transforming the NPP into a micro minority by claiming over 50 seats. But this victory is not ours alone; it is a powerful statement from the true masters of our democracy – the resilient people of Ghana,” he said in his social media post yesterday, December 16, 2024.

In addition, Hon. Dr. Ato Forson assured Ghanaians of the next NDC government are well prepped to deliver good governance which will directly and indirectly have positive effect on the country and in the livelihood of the people.

“We hear you (Ghanaians), and we will not betray your trust. Unlike the NPP, we will uphold governance rooted in integrity, probity, and accountability. No to greed, impunity, and disrespect for the rule of law – yes to leadership that listens and delivers for the people! Let’s keep building a brighter Ghana, together.”

The National Democratic Congress prior to the December 7th, 2024 general elections, were the leading opposition party and after the elections, the Electoral Commission after aggregating the total valid votes casted by Ghanaians had declared that, the flagbearer and the former vice president and president of Ghana, His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has been voted the President-elect on the ticket of the NDC who was at his disposal, a two/third majority in parliament.

In the next three weeks, On the 7th of January, 2025, the handing over ceremony will have Ghana successful be positioned under a new NDC administration as enshrined in the constitution.
