‘Ghana Is Not A Place TO Seek Justice’ – Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo

Ghanaian sports journalist, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo in a social media post has lambasted the current government of Ghana under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo following the arrest of protestors during demonstration dubbed “#StopGalamseyNow”.

Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo’s comments stemmed from the fact that, the prosecutors of the Ghana Police Service have failed to charge these protestors with any wrong doings after 48 hours and hence, the constitution of Ghana permits that the arrested protestors should be freed or provided with a bailout.

Stipulating his thought on the matter which has been a case of public concern, Fentuo said, “Ghana is not a place to seek justice.” He further pointed out that, “every institution appears controlled and manipulated. Zero independence! That’s the only way what’s happening can happen.”

Mr Fentuo asserted that, the country has to undergo some form of surgery in order to correct all that cancerous affected areas which is averting democracy to have a major stake in permitting Ghanaians in performing their responsibilities and enjoying their rights as well.

“It is a very helpless situation. And things have hit rock bottom under this government. How is this even possible? He quizzed.

However, the Ghana Police Service during the three-day demonstration organized by Democracy Hub had arrested over 40 protestors who are still in the custody of the Police due to their engagement in unlawful activities as said by the Police.
