2025/26 GPL Week-15 Wrap: Six Clubs Recorded Wins; Aduana FC Settled For Draw Against Hearts of Oak and more…

GPL match-week: Aduana FC retains top of the table spots whiles astonishing results were recorded in other league centers.

Heading into the first-half of the 2025/26 Ghana premier League (GPL) campaign, the Dormaa based club, Aduana FC are currently responsible for the top of the table slot as they keep on defying all the odds against them.

Bechem United had the first bite of the game-week 15 as they hosted new promoted side, Swedru All Blacks at the Bechem Park on Saturday, 20th December, 2025.

It did not take too long for Augustine Okrah to break the deadlock right from the spot kick on the 19th minute. Bechem United’s young forward, Darlvin Yeboah picked up the goal scoring mantle from Okrah as he showed calmness and composure in front of goal on the 27th minute to increase Bechem United’s lead – the first-half of the game ended in a 2-0 scoreline.

One would have thought that, more goals would be birthed in the game but contrary to that, the second-half only experience two sides who were more interested in staying compact defensively and not take any more risk upfront. It ended in a 2-0 win for the home side which marks the second consecutive win recorded by Coach Samuel Boadu’s Bechem United.

On Sunday, 21st of December, 2025, inconsistent Dreams FC after loosing to the Porcupine Warriors last weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium resume their winning agenda as they thrash Berekum Chelsea at the Tuba Astro Turf by 3-1.

Heading on to the next fixture, Ghana Premier League title contenders, Bibiani Gold Stars picked up the three maximum points in a o-1 as they visited Hohoe United at the Hohoe Sports Stadium in Volta region.

This encounter served football fans with mere formality as it was certain that, Bibiani Gold Stars in their quest to bridge the gap between them and the league leaders, they had no room to drop points against the newly promoted side, Hohoe United.

At the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre in Nalerigu, Karela United returned back to winning ways as they won by a 1-0 slim margin against Vision FC.

Further, in as much as Nations FC have not been consistent with their performances, at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Young Apostles were devoured by the home side Nations FC in a 1-0 score line.

Nations FC in their last four games prior to their game against Young Apostles, the Kumasi based club had lost two and won two hence, for such a fluctuating results, the Nations FC could only have manned up to snatch the positive results they had yearned for.

To other games, Samartex FC could not have recorded any other result other than a win – heading into the game, the home side performance in their recent outings had not been impressive and it was clear that, Heart of Lions had a chance of picking up meaningful results against Samartex.

Heart of Lions showed class, expressed their intent of wanting to clutch the need points however, the home side did the needful by recording a lone goal which more than enough to pick up all three points.

Plus, at the Agyeman Badu Stadium, the much anticipated game of the match-week 15 between league leaders, Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak.

Both side prior to the game were only three points apart, Hearts of Oak was seeking all three points in order to be on level points with the leaders whiles Aduana was in contention to increasing their lead on the top of the table.

At the end of ninety-minutes, both sides served football fans with a cagey encounter which did not give any room for goals to be recorded hence, it ended in a 0:0 result.

The only outstanding game is between league title contenders Medeama and relegation threatened side Holy Stars scheduled to take place at the TNA Park in Tarkwa.

Medeama SC would be approaching this game as one the best defensive sides in the league – the Obuasi based club have not recorded any loss in the last five games and they would be seeking to clutch positive results against Holy Stars.

Meanwhile, Holy Stars have seemed to like a side that has stabilized their ship in the last four games – winning three and splitting points with their opponents in the last four outings. Do they have what it takes to pick up a decent result at the TNA Park against inform Medeama SC?
