In the wake of crucial times not far-fetched for clubs in the premier domestic league, match-week-23 claimed the spotlight during the weekends – respective league centered were been engaged.

League contenders, Aduana FC hosted newly promoted side, Hohoe United at the Agyeman Badu Stadium in Dormaa as both teams failed to fashion out any means to secure all three maximum points, ending the game in goalless draw.
Hohoe United were poised to clutch a surprising win against Aduana FC as they did record a fairytale win against league giant, Asante Kotoko at their home venue. Kumasi based club, Nations FC settled for a 1-1 draw against an inconsistent Dreams FC team – with both teams proving their defensive solidity which did not permit any side to walk home with all three points.
Delving into Samartex-Medeama FC’s game, arguably, this was the fixture of the weekend, however, it was engulfed with both teams being set up to play a cagey encounter.
For Samartex, they were walking into this game with an enviable record of no home defeat this season to protect, whiles Medeama FC were in contention to extend their lead on the summit of the table.
These mindset of both teams had an effect on the game, virtually serving fans with a water-tight defensive game which had no chance of yielding any goals at the end of ninety-minutes.
The final game involved wounded Asante Kotoko, travelling to relegation threatened side, Young Apostles. Wih no surprises recorded, the Porcupine Warriors brushed away Young Apostles in a dominant 0-2 victory. Asante Kotoko has now ascended into the top-four space with 38 points.
