Manchester United Stance a Chance of Winning the EPL – Andy Cole

Manchester United’s former striker Andy Cole has shared his personal thoughts next season as he anticipate a much improved and inspiring campaign for the Red Devils.

In an interview with one of British media house Sky Sports, the England legend exploited the chances available for Manchester United to bounce back into their glory days after the club in a long-while ended their 2025/26 season on a high note.

“The more football matches you win, you never know. That is what it is about… If they [Manchester United] can go into the season with the confidence from last season, I think everyone will be thinking like that,” Andy Cole said.

He further tied his submission on Manchester United winning the league base on the exit of city rivals Manchester City’s manager, “Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City have got everyone thinking like that-Manchester United have got a chance of winning the league. It is football,” he added.

Now, for a club which has succeeded to leapfrog its performance from missing out on relegation by a whisker to making headway into the top-four finish and securing UEFA Champions League spot in the English Premier League this season as a result of managerial change.

Under the auspices of Michael Carrick, a manager who to over from substantive manager, Ruben Amorim, halfway into the season and device solutions which relatively stabilized the sinking ship and improve the team’s performance marginally.

Michael Carrick at the tail end of the season has signed a two-year deal and is set to be in charge of Manchester United for the next two seasons, with this, Andy Cole reacted to his former team mate’s performance as the new manager.

“In the end, Michael Carrick has done a good job to get the club to finishing in a position which has secured Champions League slot. Clubs like Manchester United deserve Champions League football, “It will be an interesting one and I’ll be looking forward to that. It is amazing how we’re already talking about next season…,” Cole iterated.

Andy Cole with no hesitation talked about the departure of Casemiro after running down his contract with Manchester United and the possible replacement, “Casemiro has been a fantastic player and a fine player for many years, there is a couple of seasons ago when everyone was questioning him.

“You know, as they say, cream always rise to the top and he [Casemiro] did that in his Manchester United career. He was fantastic last season so hopefully Ederson will be able to go in there and do a good sterling job like Casemiro did,” Andy Cole concluded.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have decided to avoid any preseason camping which will get the team touring in Europe. But then, the club will be having their pre-season training at Carrington training grounds in Manchester United.
