Enzo Maresca since parting-ways with English Premier League side Chelsea last season has officially been ushered back into full-time coaching as he takes over a lucrative job at Manchester City.
For many, this news does not pop-up as an astonishing one as there has been concrete reports, linking the former Leicester City and Chelsea boss to Manchester City – taking over responsibilities from veteran manager Pep Guardiola.
Certainly, Manchester City will now have their obvious target, Enzo Maresca sign a permanent contract which binds him to the club from now until June 2029 – while having a marginal say in the club’s sporting decision.
In Enzo Maresca’s first press conference as new boss for Manchester City, he highlighted the reputation of the club – highlighting what it means for him to be at his best in keeping the standards up high.
“Manchester City is a a club I know very well and to have the chance to manage this team is a brilliant opportunity for me. City is an incredibly well-run football club. Everything they do is innovative, planned and purposeful.
“I want us to win, play good football, enjoy the pressure of representing Manchester City. This will be my third spell at Manchester City. I Cannot wait to start coaching,” Maresca said.
