The Black Stars of Ghana’s quest to book a spot in the 2025 African Cup of Nations have once again failed to bag the three maximum points which was available to be snatch in their home game against Sudan.
In the third round of group stage qualifying round of matches in group F paired Ghana to host the Sudan national team. The game which was played in Ghana’s capital, at the Accra Sports stadium ended up in a 0:0 score line.
Heading into the game, Ghana in their last two group games had displayed under whelming performances which was not enough to fetch them the maximum points. Therefore, They secured a point against Niger and lost their game woefully in their game with Angola at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
Meanwhile, Angola who are currently leading the Group F table, have won two-out-of-two games and are yet to play their third game. Plus, Sudan are the second best team on the group table as they have four points in their three games played and Niger resting behind Ghana as the fourth best team and are yet to play their third game in the group.
Further, Black stars can shamefully boast of only two points out of nine maximum points that was available for them to snatch in a group which is made of Angola, Sudan, and Niger including herself to make up a four group team.
Ghana who is known widely in the world as one of the giant footballing countries in the world is gradually erasing their name in the books of giants football nations and single handedly relegating herself into the meager nations known for making great strives in football.
