The Blues would not have their French defender, Wesley Fofana back into the team after his recovery has been encountered with serious set-backs hence, extending his recovery process for the next couple of weeks.
Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca in his press conference detailed the possible time frame Wesley Fofana would need for him to be recovered fully and reintegrated into the match-day squad.
“Unfortunately, there is a risk Wesley Fofana could be out for the entire season. The initial feeling was for five weeks but then more tests gave us bad news. We do not know exactly yet, but it is a huge loss,” Enzo Maresca revealed.
He then provided more information with respect to when some of his injured players would be making it back into the team, “Wesley Fofana will be out for a very long time. Benoit Badiashile will be out at least until February. Unfortunately, we will lose them for a long time.”
