After the congress, as per reports, Ghana Premier League record champions, Asante Kotoko where noted to have abstained from either vote for or against the decision.

In that vein, the owner of Division-One club, King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah in an interview with a local media station, Akoma FM reacted to the Porcupine club’s decision not to take part in the voting.

“Kotoko is not a serious club at all. A big club like Kotoko cannot fail to cast its vote in a major decision such as the amendment of the GFA’s statues.

“Meanwhile, their venue for the CAF Confederation Cup is still unknown at this time. They [Kotoko] need to start taking things seriously,” Alhaji Grusah said.
