Liverpool winger, Cody Gakpo has express the positive mood in camp as the 2025/26 season starts today.
Friday, August 15, 2025 marks the inception of the 2025/26 new European footballing window. In the next eight months, the football fever in Europe is set to satisfy the footballing fans across the world with beautiful and captivating football games tied in with a touch of post-match and pre-match interviews from the main actors of the game which spice up the interest of fans.
Now, fans are in much anticipation as respective clubs have just returned from pre-season with their new signees meanwhile, some clubs are yet to seal their transfer deals with players who are still under contract with their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, the Dutch and Liverpool winger, Cody Gakpo in an interview with his club’s media echoed how prepared the playing body was fully gassed-up ahead of the resumption of the new season.
“I think everybody is eager to start. We had a good pre-season overall. We got new signings who integrated well. I think everybody wants to get it going. We worked very hard as a team, in Asia and here as well. Hopefully that results in that can aid us to hit the ground running,” he said.
Gakpo reacted to what he thinks the new signings adds to the squad depth of the team, “I think they [the signings] integrated well. Now, it starts and hopefully we can show the world that we are here again.”
