Portuguese international, Joao Palhinha has been has been excused from the national team camp due to an injury he picked up during training.
Bayern Munich’s first choice defensive midfielder, Palhinha has been asked to fly back to his club team by the medical staff of the Portugal national team due to an unfortunate injury he has sustained while in training on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Joao Palhinha after undergoing thorough medical check up to ascertain the actual injury he has picked up, the medical team have revealed that, he has an adductor injury which would not permit him to take part in the upcoming Nations League games.
He is expected to be back at his club, Bayern Munich, to proceed with his recovery processes. Palhinha is set to be out for the next three to four weeks according to the medical staff of the Portuguese national team.
Following such new development regarding Palhinha’s injury situation, German and Bayern Munich’s player, Leon Goretzka might just be in luck to slot in as the perfect replacement of the injured Palhinha who since joining Bayern have succeeded in putting Goretzka on the bench.
Meanwhile, Palhinha is expected to miss some crucial upcoming club games such as Bayern Munich facing off with Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League, Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga plus, Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal.
Bayern Munich’s manager, Vincent Kompany would have to find another formation to deploy which will be best fit for Leon Goretzka should he decide to make him the replacement of the injured Joao Palhinha.
