Julian Nagelsman has voiced out his preferred first choice safest pair of hands for the German national team ahead of the forthcoming FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in June.
Prior to the much anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup slated to kick-start in June, manager of the German National team, Coach Julian Nagelsman in an interview with Kicker.com has reacted to questions involving the goalkeeping department.
Speaking, the former manager of Red-Bull Leipzig FC iterated, “… if Oliver Baumann stays as consistent and fit as he is now, he will have a great World Cup. We have no concerns at all in the goalkeeping position.”

Earlier this year, Bayern Munich and former captain of German senior national team, Manuel Neuer in an interview reaffirmed his intentions of retiring from the national team after years of service.
Julian Nagelsmann further highlighted the importance of Manuel Neuer to the national team however, he would not play any role in the next Mundial after the player had announced his intentions to walk out of the national team.
“Manuel Neuer was the one who stepped down. I still believe he’s doing very well and that he’s a very good goalkeeper, but with Oliver Baumann, we also have an outstanding keeper,” Mr nagelsmann stated.
