Mamelodi Sundowns are not in hesitation to extend Rivaldo Coetzee’s contract due to his injury injury situations.
South Africa Primiership side, Mamelodi Sundowns are not set to take any investment risk with regards to their defensive midfielder, Rivaldo Coetzee who’s contract with the club is next to expire in the next couple of months.
Sundowns have made their required list clear, which is to have Coetzee physically fit and always ready to provide his services to the club in games.
The 28-year-old’s talent has never been in doubts as club officials are ever ready to present a new contract extension deal for Coetzee to pen but are not willing to always keep on aiding him whiles he fails to stay fit to make appearances in games.
Rivaldo Coetzee initiated his 2024/25 season well as he was making himself available to play under the club’s former coach, Manqoba Mngqithi but has since failed to even make an appearance under the new head coach.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are not going to hesitate to keep him at the club if only the former Ajax Cape Town man proves his worth and manage to convince the club officials of his ability to always work on his fitness level.
Mike Makaab, Rivaldo’s agent has asserted to the Siya Crew with respect to the time frame Sundowns have in making their final decision on his player, “Riva’s option is only due at the end of May. It’s both Riva and Jody February.”
At Rivaldo’s age, he obviously have a lot to offer to football and time will only tell if he stays or moves on to another possible suitor.
