Manchester United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim has disclosed his intentions of always producing results and not excuses.
In Ruben Amorim‘s first of many to come pre-match interview with the press ahead of Manchester United’s league game against newly promoted side, Ipswich has expressed his utmost priority, which is, to lead them team into it winning ways.
The former Sporting CP coach laid emphasis on the fact that, a club such as Manchester United deserves nothing but positive results in all the games they play, “I know if you are at Manchester United, you have to win games so I will not tell you I need a lot of time.”
A journalist at the press conference quizzed Ruben Amorim’s thought regarding Mason Mount, who has not seen a lot of playing time due to his inability to stay physically fit for games and whether he is still in the good books of Manchester United.
“Mason Mount… I have to tell you I love that kid. You can look in his eyes that he wants this so bad. This is the most important thing. He played in this system, so it’s perfect for him… I have two positions for Mason Mount, so he should be very happy,” He responded.
Further, Amorim reacted to the perceptions of many Manchester United fans with respect to him being a replica of arguably the most successful coach for Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson.
“This is a different time and I cannot be the same guy that Sir Alex Ferguson was. It is a different time and I need to have a different approach. I can also be demanding with a different approach, so that is my focus,” Amorim said.
Plus, when asked about how he intends to rectify issues surrounding the English and Manchester United’s left-back, “Luke Shaw is a very good player. I will take care of him. I want these kind of players who are important in our squad for a long period, and not just a game, We will be careful with Luke.”
Ruben Amorim also touch on how imperative it is for him to rebuild Manchester United and aid the club to ascend back to where Sir Alex Ferguson left it and to even a much higher and enviable height.
“If you win here at Manchester United, it will be different from any other club in England. Here at Man United, you feel the weight of history despite the last few years and you want to be part of it.
“Call me naive, but I believe I am the right guy at the right time. I truly believe I am the right guy. I am a little bit dreamer and I believe in myself, in the club. We have the same idea and mindset. You think it’s impossible, I think it’s possible.” Amorim iterated.
