Sharaf Mamaha after Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Angola spitted words of displeasure to Kurt Okraku – Atta Poku claims

Ghanaian sports journalist, Atta Poku has revealed the cause of friction between Sharaf Mahama and the current G.F.A president Kurt E.S.

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sharaf Mahama foundation, Mr Sharaf Mahama has been fingered out as one prominent figure who did not hold back his emotions after the men’s senior football team of Ghana had slipped at home in a defeat to Angola in the just ended 2025 African Cup of nations qualifying campaign.

His clash with the Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Edmund Simon Okraku was very heated as disclosed by one of the sports journalist, Collins Atta Poku who works with a local media stations, Sompa FM today, January 10, 2025.

Atta Poku in his submission revealed that, the son of the President of Ghana, Sharaf Mahama who is know as a football enthusiast and a FIFA licensed agent after was present at the match venue and did not hide his emotions when the Black Stars failed to secure a respectable results in the game as he bumped into the team’s dressing room where he quizzed the competency of the FA president and his leadership qualities.

“I was in the US, and someone called me. After the match against Angola in Kumasi, which we lost, some people were angry. Sharaf Mahama stormed the dressing room, took pictures, and expressed his displeasure with Kurt over the team’s terrible performance,” he said.

Atta Poku then added that, his encounter with Sharaf Mahama mounted much more pressure on him as Ghana’s FA president, “In fact, it brought more pressure on Kurt.”
