Weezy Empire slap 1M lawsuit on Abrempong TV for unlawfully airing ‘A Country Called Ghana’

Weezy Empire as the lawful copyright owners of the movie titled ‘A Country Called Ghana‘ has sued Abrempong TV for illegally airing their production without permission. 

The copyright laws is set to kickstart as reputable movie production house, Weezy Empire, owned by renowned Ghanaian movie actor and producer, Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lilwin has filed a lawsuit seeking for a significant amount as compensation after noticing their product being aired freely on a local media station.

In the lawsuit, it indicator that, “our client’s attention has been drawn to several breakdown of the above-mentioned film on your television station without any authorization, license or consent, an act which has been further confirmed by several individuals with video evidence.”

Weezy Empire as the complainant in their lawsuit are demanding a financial compensation from Abrempong TV, “… you [Abrempong TV] pay an amount of One Million Ghana Cedis (1,000,000) as compensation for the unauthorized use, broadcast and infringement of our client’s copyright in the film.”
