The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have revealed their intentions of unveiling the foul happenings that took place during ASC Jaraaf’s game against USM Alger.
Senegal premier league club, ASC Jaraaf were in action yesterday, December 8, 2024 as they faced Algerian side, USM Alger at home for the CAF TotalEnergies Confederation round two group stage game.
The said game was entangled with situations which are goes contrary to the laws for which football is played and therefore, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as the policy making body of African football deems such developments which transpired in the game as red-flags and has to be looked into thoroughly.
CAF has released an official statement in the early hours of today, detailing their quest to get to the bottom of the matter and take the necessary actions in order to quench such happenings from coming up in the near future.
“CAF is aware of an incident that occurred during the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup fixture between ASC Jaraaf and USM Alger in Senegal on Sunday, 8, December 2024. The matter has been referred to the competent CAF bodies for further investigations.”
However, ASC Jaraaf’s game with USM Alger ended in a barren score line, therefore, both teams were awarded a point each in their group.
