Liverpool Football Club proved once again beyond any iota of doubt as they reechoed the reasons for which they are on top of the league table with forty-two (42) points in seventeen games with an outstanding game on their hand.
The day earmarked for boxing was truly exhibited at the Anfield stadium as Liverpool came from behind to smash Leicester by serving their fans with a complete knockout victory and further cementing their top-of-the league position.
Further, the game got underway with much anticipation of Liverpool putting up a title contending performances however, Leicester rather had it all covered as the Ghanaian veteran forward, Jordan Ayew stumped his authority by executing a much tougher dexterity of finding the back of the net as he some way some how made it count just after six minutes into the game.
Liverpool in the dying embers of the first-half, a pinpoint pass from Mac Allister filled in Coady Gakpo who got Stolarczyk into stretching at full length and yet couldn’t get a hand to it to secure an amazing equalizer for his side.
Delving into the second-half, Liverpool picked up the pieces as after just four minutes into the half, Allister recorded his second assist on the night as Curtis Jones literally passed the ball into the back of Leicester’s net to take the well deserving lead.
More so, in form Mohammed Salah also seized the opportunity to provide his side with a much comfortable lead as Gakpo linked him in for the third goal on the night.
As things stands, Leicester City’s woes of sinking back into the Championship are looking quite realistic as they can only boast of fourteen (14) points after eighteen games played and presently, they find themselves on the eighteenth position which is unimpressive for the 2015/16 Premier League winners.
