Manchester City’s defensive midfielder, Rodri is set to be sidelined from the team due to an injury he sustained during City’s Premier League matchday five home game against league contenders Arsenal FC.
The Spanish and Manchester City midfielder, Rodri in the league clash between Manchester City and Arsenal FC which ended in a 2:2 score-line did not end well for the defensive-midfielder as he was substituted due to an injury he sustained during the game.
In a press conference today, manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola when asked about the injury situation of arguably the best defensive midfielder in the English Premier League, Rodri, “when you are without the best midfielder in the world for a long time, it is a big blow.”
Pep Guardiola further iterated that, “but my duty is to find solutions. When a player is irreplaceable, we have to do it as a team as we did when De Bruyne was out.”
Digging more into Rodri’s injury, few hours ago, medical practitioners who are specialist in providing accurate information with regards to the player’s injury have indicated that, Rodri have suffered a ligament injury to his right knee.
Plus, this is after Rodri travelled to his country, Spain in order to seek for a specialist consultation. Full probe and assessment is still progressing steadily just to ascertain on the extent of the injury and prognosis before he is returned to the medical team of Manchester City.
