Why was Julen Lopetegui sacked?
Former Sevilla manager, Julen Lopetegui is no longer the manager for English Premier League side, West Ham as he has been asked to neglect his responsibility as the club’s manager after his failure to achieve the team’s target.
Following West Ham United’s bizarre churn out of results in the Premier League, the team currently can only find themselves as the fourteenth best side in the league after having won just six, drawn five and lost a total of nine games in twenty league games.
The London club’s decision to send away Lopetegui is on the basis of the underwhelming performances of the team in games which is not in line with their 2024/25 campaign target as a mid-table club that has done a lot of investments into recruiting players in the last summer transfer window.
The next step for West Ham United
The Hammers have already initiated contract negotiation talks with the former Brighton and Chelsea manager, Graham Potter who has been out of job since his departure from Chelsea.
