Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey has been granted a conditional bail after been slapped with a rape and sexual assault case.
Today, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the veteran midfielder, Thomas Partey made an appearance at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court after been charged with an alleged five counts of rape against two women plus a charge of sexual assault against a third woman.
Briefly, the forms of rape charges slapped on the deputy captain of the Ghana national team was committed allegedly in 2021 and 2022. Even though the court has decided to protect the three women by not disclosing their identities, the adjudication of the case began today.
Now, the 32-year-old midfielder was officially charged last month. Thomas Partey’s lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire in responding to how her client feels asserted that, “he denies all the charges against him. This is an opportunity to finally clear his name,”
Clearly, Partey is highly optimistic ahead of the judgements as he joins the vehicle of trail for justice to be served.
Meanwhile, after the court proceedings today, Partey has been granted bail with conditions.
Below are the bail conditions set for Thomas Partey:
- Not allowed to contact any of the women involved in the case
- Must notify police of any address changes
- Must notify police of international traveling
- Must show up in Court at Old bailey in September
