Jerry Afriyie joins CD Lugo on loan from Al-Qadsiah

Jerry Afriyie has completed a loan move from Al-Qadsiah to CD Lugo.

Ghanaian international, Jerry Afriyie has made an astonishing move into the Spanish third division as he is set to spend the rest of the 2024/25 season with the division three side, CD Lugo.

The 20-year-old striker since completing his long-term move from Thoughts FC to Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League just some few hours ago has successfully initiated a move to play for CD Lugo until the rest of the season.

Jerry Afriyie’s potentials as a young goal poacher has never been in doubts as he made his a groundbreaking record by becoming the first ever player to gain an invite to the men’s senior soccer team of Ghana at the time he was playing for a third division side in Ghana.

Further, his contract with his parent club, AL-Qadsiah runs up until 2028 hence, would be returning from his short loan spell with CD Lugo at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Jerry Afriyie after completing his move to Al-Qadsiah shared these few words, “I see this project similar to what brought me out. I’m focused on my development and the timing. I think football is doing well everywhere especially here and I must definitely start from somewhere.”
