TP Mazembe preps as they hope to humble Sudanese side, Al-Hilal in the CAF Champions League quarter final stage.
Congo topflight league side, TP Mazembe are in high-spirit as they are determined not to fall short at their home turf, Stade TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi against Sudanese topflight league-less team, Al-Hilal on Saturday, January 18, 2024.
Both teams are heading into the game with an unimpressive recent team performance which would certainly have a say in the turn out of event after the final whistle by the referee.
Al-Hilal are stepping into this crucial encounter as a Sudan team that have no opportunity in playing week-in week-out in the domestic league as a result of the internal riots taking center stage in Sudan.
Meanwhile, TP Mazembe would face Al-Hilal with chest up high as in terms of match-fitness and team cohesion, they are miles ahead of their opponent since they have the luxury of playing every week with their and quality sides in the Congolese league.
Both team’s recent team performance:
TP Mazembe has not shown what they are truly made of as a giant in the Congolese Premier League as they are battling to be consistent with their performances on the field which is having a negative effect on the results they are churning out.
More so, Mazemebe has not tasted a win in their last two games; they have won just one in their recent five games which is completely bizarre for a side who has such great reputation in African club football.
However, Al-Hilal can’t also boast of consistency in their results as they are striving to stay afloat in terms of churning out good performances and producing positive results on the field of play.
The Sudanese side have won one, draw two and lost two in their last five games in a competitive competitions.
That not withstanding, TP Mazembe and Al-Hilal have produced a total of seven goals in their last five games. Al Hilal would look back at their recent results against TP Mazembe which ended in a 2-1 results in their favor and have the believe to further stage another win in their upcoming encounter.
Predictions:
It’s an open game hence, TP Mazembe would seek to rely on their experience in the tournament plus their home advantage in order to steal a 1-0 win whiles Al-Hilal would face them with the confidence of repeating their recent results against the home side.
Stake a maximum of one goal or a minimum of three goals.
