FC Barcelona have progressed in securing the signatures of two young forwards from Mali, Africa.
Spanish La-Liga club, FC Barcelona have displayed no signs of relenting in terms of the team’s policy of imbibing the footballing knowledge into youngsters and churning of quality football players from their youth side.
Today, November 20, 2024, scouts after approving the talents possessed by two teenagers from an academy in an African country, Mali, have proceeded to complete all contractual agreements involved in securing the future prospects into the Barcelona Academy.
Ibrahim Diarra, 18, a versatile forward, who has the capabilities of playing as a right wing-forward or as a proper attacker has seen it all when it balls down to under-18 youth football; making series of appearances for the Mali under-18. His last appearances for the Mali under-18 was against Jamaica, which they won by a goal.
Further, the second signee, Arouna Traore, 17, would join Barca Atletic from Academie Africa Foot for 1.70 million Euros. He is known as a youngster with good qualities of a center-forward and can play on the left side of attack. He is good with the ball, decent pace, and has very good eyes for goal and hence, Traore never displays any signs of shooting at goal from any position.
Both Ibrahim Diarra and Arouna Traore are currently in a flight to Spain, Barcelona to begin their journey into professional football.
Meanwhile, the youth side of FC Barcelona is best known for producing qualities footballers for the footballing world. In recent times, the youth side of Barcelona can boast of the likes of Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernadez, Pedri, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, Andre Onana, Dani Olmo, and several other players who are presently professional players for the senior Barcelona team or other teams in Europe.
