The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have officially began to fulfill its promise of providing financial support to all clubs participating in the 2025/26 premier league season.
In the wake of the cashless league season which just ended, the Ghana Football Association prior to the inception of this new season had announce their efforts to meet the premier league clubs half way with regards to their finances.
President of the GFA, Kurt E.S Okraku during the unveiling ceremony of the league’s new broadcasting right holders, Adesa Production, seized the opportunity to fume out the good news of the significant amount of money which was set to hit the accounts of each club for this new campaign.
“Through this unique partnership with Adesa Productions, each of our GPL clubs will , before the start of the league season, receive the amount of a million Ghana cedis each. This will be our minimum payment for each of our GPL clubs under our new model,” President Kurt E.S Okraku said.
Going forward, the Ghana Football Association have also indicated their quest to aid clubs thrive in the league hence, adopting policies such as providing thirty quality football boots to each club aggregating to a total of 540 pieces of football boots to clubs.
Plus, the football association have also made provisions for thirty footballs to be dashed to each participating club in the league.
Further, there has been an appreciable increase in the wages in addition to discounts made available to all matchday referees should they board any of the commercial buses to the game venue.
All these clearly points to the organizers of the league’s quest to uplift the standards of the league in order to meet the world standards.
