Ghanaian sports journalist, Michael Akomeah has initiated calls for Manchester United to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
The former Newcastle United midfielder, Elliot Anderson is attracting keen transfer interest from top Premier League clubs after cementing his position in the starting eleven squad due to the splendid performances he has put up since the inception of this new campaign.
News popping up have suggested that, the English midfielder who ply his trade for Nottingham Forest in the Prem is likely to be poached by some top interested clubs in the league in the forthcoming January transfer window.
Further, the hunt for his services by clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United has began meanwhile, the anticipated constraint which can possibly hinder his move to any of his preferred clubs in the near future is the transfer fee tag on him.
Does Manchester United need Elliot Anderson’s Services:
Now, for Manchester United, since the exit of the Roy keane era, the club has not succeeded in finding the best fit replacement. The Red Devils have secured the services of players such as Fred, Paul Pogba, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount and Casemiro.
However, all these signings in the last couple of years since joining the club have not worked to meet the expectations of the club.

Currently, the system of play being deployed by the coach, Ruben Amorim has failed to accommodate Manuel Ugarte hence, the veteran midfielder, Casemiro, who’s age has caught up with is being managed to play week-in-week-out.
One would also echo that, Mason Mount would be the perfect fit for the 3-4-3 formation however, since joining Manchester United has struggled for match fitness hence, the team cannot rely on him.
Further, Manchester United after failing to secure the services of Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion in the last summer transfer window due to the asking transfer fee by the selling club, they have set sights on Anderson as the alternative should the deal for their first choice breakdown.
Is Elliot Anderson the solution to Liverpool’s midfield problems?
In the wake of the moment, Liverpool FC seem not to have total control over their campaign as many football pundits have credited it to the team’s failure to have a proper defensive cover for the backline.

That being said, the team currently have the likes of Endo Wataru, who has struggled to find playing time whiles mid-shift defensive midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch has displayed a dip in form since the start of the season.
Elliot Anderson with his profile as a proper ball carrier, press resistant, tactical and technical intelligence is more than enough to solve the midfield problems of Liverpool should they succeed in coughing out the asking price of Nottingham Forest.
Sports Journalist, Michael Akomeah had this to say:
Ghanaian sports journalist, Michael Akomeah after watching Liverpool’s game against Nottingham Forest yesterday, iterated that, Manchester United cannot afford to miss out on securing the signature of Elliot Anderson when the transfer window is open as he was of the view that, ” I’ve seen enough… he’s the one. Bring him and Baleba.”
The transfer fee of Elliot Anderson:
Elliot Anderson joined Nottingham Forest for a transfer fee worth 41-million-Euros. Now, multiple sources have indicated that, his selling price has been bloated due to his recent performances.
Additionally, he seem to be one of the most important players for his team hence, Nottingham Forest are seeking for nothing less-than 100-million-Pounds should any club make an official bid.
Meanwhile, the interesting aspect of the conversation is, does Elliot Anderson want to join any of the clubs that are day dreaming for his signature?
