Samuel Eto’o has been re-elected as the Cameroonian Football Association president for the second term.
The former Catalonian star, Samuel Eto’o after etching his name in gold as one of the legends to ever play the game of soccer, he is living the dreams of managing football off the field.
He has renewed his tenure of office after being elected by majority of the delegates who had the mandate to engage in the election process.
Reliable sources have confirmed that, a total of eighty-seven (87) delegates participated in the elections, only two voted against the re-election of Mr Samuel Eto’o whiles an overwhelming majority of eighty-five voted in favor of the incumbent FA president.
Today, Samuel Eto’o will proceed with his duty as the leader of the mother governing body, in charge of all football related matters, specially, the domestic football league whiles seeing to the well being of all the national football teams.
During Samuel Eto’o’s first tenure of office, he ensured that the senior national team of Cameroon did not miss out on the 2022 World Cup plus, the team also made an appearance in the last AFCON tournament.
Further, he has implemented minimum wages a player in any of the Cameroonian Elite league teams would receive as salaries whiles increasing the financial grants the FA gives to each club in the top-flight from 30 million CFA to 40 million CFA.
Samuel Eto’o after regaining the trust to proceed with his mandate as the FA President for his nation would seek to work and develop all aspect of the game of football in Cameroon as he indicated in his campaign message.
